The July 28 edition of the Frontiersman reported that Palmer’s city council has approved a Metropolitan Planning Organization, or MPO. This is incorrect. The Matanuska-Susitna Borough and the city of Wasilla have approved the MPO, but Palmer has delayed its decision until the Monday, Aug. 7 city council meeting.
MPOs are formed to allow decisions on state and federal transportation projects to be made by local organizations.
