ANCHORAGE — The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service Economist Tony Nakazawa will lead four AlaskaHost Customer Service Essentials train-the-trainer workshops for the hospitality and visitor services industry from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Jan. 15, Feb. 13, March 14 and April 11 at the Anchorage Extension office, 1675 C St.
Each workshop, with optional certification, will train individuals to teach customer service to employees of the hospitality and visitor services industry. Topics will include customer service essentials, communications skills, serving customers with disabilities and the economic benefits of tourism.
AlaskaHost is a statewide customer service training program sponsored by the state of Alaska. Cost is $100 and includes lunch, workshop materials, and a certificate of completion from the state.
