TALKEETNA — After weeks of practice, Talkeetna’s newest circus stars will spotlight their new skills at Green Light Circus performances June 21-23 at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m., at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. A matinee also is planned at 3:30 p.m., June 23, doors open at 3 p.m.
This year’s performance is titled “An Anti-Gravitists Guide to the Galaxy! or Newton's Outlaw.”
Tickets cost $8 for kids 18 and younger, $10 for Denali Arts Council members and $15 for nonmembers. Tickets will only be sold at the door before the event. Ticket sales start a half an hour before shows.
The Roustabout Circus — Green Light Circus instructors — also will perform a show at 3:30 p.m., June 24 at the hangar. Doors open at 3 p.m. and donations are appreciated.
And, if you’ve aspired to soar through the atmosphere on a tiny trapeze, Green Light Circus instructors Morgan Langham and Daniel Sloan will teach a four-day class from 8 to 9 p.m., June 26-29 at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. The class is open to people age 15 and older and costs $75. No experience is necessary.
