MAT-SU — For the ninth year, “College Goal Alaska” events are planned around the state between Jan. 23 and March 30 to help students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid packet.
College Goal Alaska, part of the national College Goal Sunday program, brings application assistance to help students, particularly low-income and first-generation college goers, complete the financial aid packet — an essential annual step to receiving financial aid for postsecondary education. In the Mat-Su, events are planned:
• At American Charter Academy, 7362 W Parks Hwy No. 725, Wasilla, from 4 to 6 p.m., Feb. 7.
• At Palmer High School, 1170 W Arctic Ave., at 9 a.m., Feb. 9.
• At Mat-Su College, Mile 2.2, Trunk Rorad, Palmer, from 2 to 4 p.m., Feb. 10.
