For people who thinking about a future career in the healthcare industry, the Alaska Primary Care Association is hosting a two-week PATH Academy training course. The best part is that it costs nothing to attend.
The Pre-Apprenticeship Training in Healthcare (PATH) program is open to Alaskans 16 years of age and older. Students who complete the course will receive five nationally recognized certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Mental Health First Aid. Participants will also gain employment readiness skills and help with employment opportunities in the Mat-Su Borough.
The PATH Academy begins April 22, 2024 and runs until May 3, and will be held at the Mat-Su Health Foundation building in Wasilla. This is an equal-opportunity program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
