Fundraiser promotes teen’s book, anti-bullying

PALMER — A spaghetti feed fundraiser is from 5 to 8 p.m., Jan. 18 at the Palmer Elks Lodge, 2600 N. Barry’s Resort Dr., to help promote Heather Johnson’s book “Hidden Voice: A story of Discovering Strengths” and her national anti-bullying campaign.

The teen author launched her 2014 national anti-bullying campaign Jan. 6 with a guest appearance on the nationally syndicated radio program “Talk Show America.”

She also is scheduled to record an interview Friday with Palmer Free Radio, and she will appear live on the national show “Love Life Radio” Saturday evening.

Tickets are available at the Elks or at the door. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 9 to 13, and tickets for children younger than 12 are $5.

Donations also may be mailed to Heather Johnson, P.O. Box 873801, Wasilla, AK 99687.
