PALMER — Stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan has been announced as the first act confirmed for the 2018 Concert Series at the Alaska State Fair. The Grammy-nominated, New York Times best-selling comic will perform two shows on Sunday, September 2 at the ConocoPhillips Borealis Theatre on the fairgrounds. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 8 at 10 a.m.

This is the second time that Gaffigan will perform at the Fair. Since his 2015 appearance, Gaffigan released his newest album, Cinco, and starred in his own TV show, “The Jim Gaffigan Show.” The dry, clever comic is currently wrapping up his 2017 Noble Ape Tour, which took him around the U.S. as well as Europe, and is preparing to launch his 2018 tour, The Fixer Upper.

Gaffigan will take the Fair stage at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. on September 2. Tickets will be $35 for the lawn area, $75 for reserved seating, and $95 for premier seating (first center three rows). Convenience fees apply, and Fair admission is additional.

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, December 8 at 10 a.m.
