Mr. Armstrong was born in 1944 in New York, served on a Navy destroyer 1964-1966, and married Jean Kincaid in the summer of 1977. The couple moved to Alaska in 1978 and spent 5 years teaching in Nome before moving to the Mat-Su Valley. In retirement he loved traveling and worked part time for Princess Cruises.

Georges family wrote, He was an incredible guy, full of life, and made instant connections with everyone he met. His curiosity for life was never satisfied and he shared it with us all.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Kincaid of Wasilla and daughter, Christine Armstrong of Bangor, Pennsylvania. There will be no services at this time. The family asks that as we enter this holiday season and think about how grateful we are for all that we have you consider making a donation to your favorite cause in his name. Hold your loved ones close.
