The Home Depot surprised Alaska District Manager Jeremy Wallis with its Angel Award after the Mat-Su Fire Department firefighter stopped his car during his commute to Anchorage in one day in February when he saw a woman’s vehicle roll over.
He stopped, pulled the driver out of her car and performed CPR until emergency responders arrived.
The award is only presented on rare occasions for exceptional acts of heroism, and this is the first time it’s been presented in 13 years The Home Depot has given an Angel Award to one of its associates.
