Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

It doesn’t help anyone to participate in media-enabled hysteria about Ebola. In the face of catastrophic incompetence and stupidity of our national leaders and federal health officials, I write this essay to encourage each citizen to personally become more health literate. Please conduct research via the Internet and obtain study references from your doctor to validate what I write about here. Do not permit government “protectors” to herd you like an animal, or simply seek instant satisfaction unsubstantiated by reality.
First, the most powerful anti-disease tool humans have is his body’s immune system. Every antibiotic or vaccine ever made either stimulates the immune system or temporarily keeps it from becoming overwhelmed while it is deploying enough of its natural forces. Vaccines in particular are not one-shot, magical cures, but merely stimulate natural production of antibodies and attuned white blood cells that destroy foreign biological invaders.
That a body can develop, on demand, such natural forces against any new biological invader is a natural wonder not yet fully understood by anyone. This is why the most successful treatment of Ebola to date is compatible blood transfusions from Ebola survivors. See how simple that is? The “experts” used by our government apparently don’t.
If a person’s most successful protection against infectious disease is a fully functioning immune system, doesn’t it make sense to supply one’s body with natural substances that fuel and enable that system? Poor diet, substance abuse, and lack of sleep make even a tested vaccine capable of making you seriously ill, or even killing you. Look into vitamins, supplements and better food selection, rather than falling for the snake-oil salesman antics of our health officials. Your body will respond to biological attack better if it’s not also fighting consumption of drugs or alcohol and a steady diet of pizza, Cocoa Puffs, and candy.
Apparent natural immunity occurs when antibodies and white blood cell cellular memory is passed through the placenta of mothers to fetuses, or directly to babies in their mother’s milk. This is why, after surviving the severe attacks of the Black Death, Bubonic plague, etc., European populations expanded. It’s also why Old World contact with Native Americans eventually killed over half of America’s original indigenous population from hitherto un-experienced diseases. This was before immunities developed to enable that population to recover before being crushed again by military force. Wouldn’t it follow that if disease can travel from body to body through bodily fluids, a mother can help her fetus or baby by taking care of herself to strengthen her immune system to ensure immunity capability is passed on naturally?
The cure-all brags of antibiotics and vaccination is in the face of 1) the natural tendency of biological entities to mutate, and 2) the lying that goes on about the negative effects of their use. We have the flesh-eating bacteria that thrive in the antiseptic environments of hospitals, autism from chemical poisoning by vaccine ingredients, and the stark fact that some modern outbreaks of measles and mumps are affecting vaccinated children, too. Furthermore, doctors over-prescribing penicillin have made that antibiotic nearly useless in this new century.
Second, the most powerful preventive measures that have consistently delivered results against foreign biological entities (that are seeking hosts to feed and multiply in) are strong environmental hygiene and quarantine. The U.S. government even knew about this 200 years ago when it sent small pox-contaminated blankets to some Mississippi Valley Indians. This measure wiped out one tribe and decimated others until the Indians developed some natural immunity. Despite the re-writing of history by government and Big Pharma to protect the extreme monopoly of vaccine consumption enforced by law, strong hygiene enforcement and quarantine can be proven to have done the most to conquer virus- or bacteria-driven diseases.
We are not talking about fancy bio-suits for everyone who spends time around people who are sick. Instead, there is the option of incineration or the use of heavy disinfectant to deal with contaminated clothes and bedding. Blocking the spray of sneezes or coughs with handkerchiefs or shirtsleeves helps, and so does frequent washing of hands. Gloves can be used when caring for people ill with infectious diseases (especially if you have cuts or eat a lot of finger food). Frequent wiping of communal surfaces with antibacterial solutions — low concentration bleach water is king — can also be used to combat the spread of disease. In fact, parents should volunteer to do this in their children’s schools. I, for one, saw this work wonderfully well combating infectious hepatitis at a day care center I visited that came under quarantine.
Simply keeping sick people in separated rooms is a start. I suggest keeping whole families home who have multiple members who are ill. Take a vacation from French-kissing, regular sex, and extraordinary sexual practices while a partner is ill and contagious. Restrict travel from areas that practice poor or insufficient hygiene and quarantine facilities.
This is not rocket science, nor does it take years of “education” to comprehend. One can personally verify that these common measures are working to make us prepared when the ordinary incidence of seasonal flu declines after we, and our neighbors, take action.
The protocols for hospitals and our military (who are about to be dumped in Africa with just gloves and face masks) also need to be strengthened as the people deal with confirmed cases of Ebola. But hygiene and quarantine measures are basically the same — some actions are just reinforced with more technology and rigid conduct patterns.
We also don’t need our government continuing to do the ridiculous equivalent of treating Ebola like we do terrorists, thinking Ebola will only come to the U.S. by airplane. However, controlling a border that’s heretofore been opened by the federal government to let in people with confirmed contagious diseases (tuberculosis, scabies, etc.), would align with the meaning of quarantine.
It’s not humanitarian to sicken or kill Americans to make room for sick, illegal immigrants.
