I am Brett A Turner the last surviving relative ? Blood) of Lt Col. R. E. Turner.Member of Pioneer Mustang Group and 2 Nd commander of The Red Asses 356th Ftr Sqdrn .

I am pleased to meet all of the service members which are the pride of the United States. I grew up caddieing for all the WW2 members of your lineage. I’m now 64and find that I alone have kept dads memorabilia as it has been his legacy shared with me. My mom did not understand the bond which I only got a glimpse of while I met all of the men my father considered brothers. Including James Howard, who attended my dads last mission , ( his funneral) which Robin Olds and Gen Howard some how got permission for a missing man formation of F-16s after taps and the 21 gun salute. I think Robin had a little pull as he was the Commandant of The Air Force Academy . I need assistance in getting dads memorabilia distributed in a manner that is a return to those who treated my father so well as he prepared for his last role call. I feel that in the last Five years that I quit the aviation job in SanDiego to come live with dad as I refused to let my dad experience a Rest Home. I am so grateful that I got those last five years with dad to know him as his friends knew him. Not the disciplinarian of a teenaged hippie in the 60’s but as my best buddy. The best years in my life. Now as I face the same fact that we all will I guess the fact that 3 times I returned home from work to find that my mom had put his APO Chest out for the trash. I finally made it clear that this was like stealing from me. So as a result I have everything that Boeing Aerospace Museum did not take. Can anyone with a true and honest heart and help me find homes for things that would blow you away. If so call me at 480-430-3443
