Image Home Furnishings offers free hot dogs and family fun over Memorial Day weekend

WASILLA — Image Home Furnishings offered free hot dogs, snacks, and drinks to community members over Memorial Day weekend. There were also bounce houses for children to play in.

Image Home Furnishings general manager Jimmy Keene said that the owner Donny Dean and everyone at the store enjoys putting on this annual tradition.

“It's nice to give back to the community every year. It's a good time for it. Summer’s finally here,” Keene said.

Keene said that numerous residents come back each day to get free hot dogs and since there's no limit, that's definitely encouraged. He said that they distributed over 1,500 hot dogs this year. Keene said they've received a lot of positive feedback from the public.

“They love it,” Keene said.

Image Home Furnishings also wrapped up its Memorial Day Sale Monday, May 27 featuring storewide savings on recliners, living room, bedroom, mattresses, dining, office, and more.

Keene said the next big sale will be an Independence Day special.

Image Home Furnishings is currently renovating the store to open up a new mattress gallery. Keene said they're hoping to open the new gallery this summer. He noted that they will have a sales event when it opens.

“It's gonna be pretty state of the art, a pretty nice showroom. We've been wanting it for a few years,” Keene said.

Image Home Furnishings sells a wide variety of items for every room of the house. Keene said they try to keep their prices as low as possible that come in around 30 percent lower than their competitors. He added that they also offer free delivery.

“Everything for the house, we've got it all," Keene said.
