I was 10. We lived in Eagle River on Mercy Drive, Dad had just got home from work, sitting down to watch the news and relax. When the rumbling started it was loud, I thought it was a volcano, we lived right in front of a nice mountain. It seemed to last forever. My sis was in the loft, Mom pulled a mattress over her four kids, Dad was going outside to look for Kathy who was up in the loft. He had trouble putting his boots on. Aftershocks were scary, radio was so important. I have always known the power of God....
