TALKEETNA — A Wasilla man tried to enter a house with a gun after the residents there helped him, authorities said.
Joseph Garner Jr., 33, was arraigned Friday afternoon on charges of third degree assault, driving under the influence, and fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons.
Garner was driving his motorcycle along Dragonfly Hollow Drive about 4 p.m., Thursday when he stopped near an occupied residence there, according to Alaska State Trooper dispatches.
After residents tried to help him, he pulled his bike into the residence’s driveway, according to dispatches.
Residents went back into the home, whereupon Garner tried to enter the house with a gun.
Troopers arrested Garner and transported him to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, where he was being held on $5,000 bond Friday evening.
