Mat-Su College names portfolio scholarship contest winners

PALMER — Matanuska-Susitna College has announced that Grace Kari of Colony High School is this year’s first-place winner in the college’s annual High School Portfolio Scholarship Contest.

Kari receives a full year’s tuition at Mat-Su College and a permanent bronze plaque with her name on it that will be displayed in the art department.

Colony High School’s Brittany McCaulley’s photography portfolio won second place and earned her six tuition credits at Mat-Su College. Whitney Wang of Palmer High School won third place. The competition is based on high school students’ art portfolios consisting of 12 pieces.
