Mat-Su Farm Market opens Monday

PALMER — Monday Mat-Su Farm Market is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Nov. 11 to May 5 at the Palmer Depot.

Market manager Carl Brooke said a number of vendors have committed so far to participate.

• The Alaskan Sourdough Bread Company — Sourdough breads, holiday breads — like bobka, stollen and pulla — cookies and more.

• Alaska Sprouts — Sprouts and hydroponic lettuces.

• Alaska Vegan and Gluten Free — Corn chips and soups.

• Alaska Yard and Goat Company — Full line of Alaska goat milk soaps.

• Brooke Family Farm — Quail eggs, and will take orders for 2014 free-range chicken, ducks, geese, turkeys and hogs.

• Bushes Bunches — Blue, Yukon, peanut and red potatoes, pumpkins, squash (sweet mama and sunshine) and turnips.

• Coba’s Plant Care — Fresh micro greens.

• Earthworks Farm — Honey and beeswax, body care products.

• Gee-Haw Realty (the market’s sponsor) — Information on some great farm properties.

• Moonlit Lake Garden — Fermented veggies.
