Mat-Su Plunge seeks volunteers to jump in the lake

WASILLA — Here’s a chance to rally your friends and have a little icy wintertime fun while raising funds to benefit a pair of local nonprofits.

Mat-Su Sertoma Club President Paula Nance said this year the fundraiser benefits Food 4 Kids and Pop Warner Football.

Although sponsorship remains outstanding for the annual event, she said the event needs more individuals and groups to sign up, gather donations and join in the Mat-Su Plunge at noon, Feb. 15 at Wasilla Lake Resort.
