PALMER — Matthew Reisterer has been appointed chief financial officer of Matanuska Electric Association Inc.
Reisterer earned a master’s in business administration from Michigan State University.
Prior to joining MEA in 1999 as financial planning and regulatory affairs manager, Reisterer worked as a certified public accountant and financial analyst in Alaska. MEA promoted him to director of administration in 2007.
As CFO, Reisterer oversees accounting, finance, materials and warehouse, customer service and accounts, and regulatory affairs.
“With the new Eklutna Generation Station coming online at the end of 2014, MEA transitions to a vertically integrated utility by self-generating power through the new plant. I’m proud of the caliber of the MEA executive team, and pleased to have Mr. Reisterer in this leadership role. He is invaluable to us during this exciting time,” said Joe Griffith, MEA general manager.
