PALMER — The Mat-Su Miners showed their resiliency once again Thursday night.
Ricky Martinez drove in a run in the top of the 11th to push the Miners to a 4-3 win over the Peninsula Oilers in Kenai. The Miners have had three walk-off wins this season. Mat-Su also earned its ninth straight home win with the go-ahead run in the eighth on Tuesday.
Drew Williamson led Mat-Su with three hits in the victory. Robbie Brue had a pair of hits in his Mat-Su debut. Martinez also had a pair of hits.
Grant Sloan pitched two innings and earned the win in relief. Jacob McNairy notched his sixth save of the summer.
The Oilers followed with a 2-1 win on Friday.
Mat-Su built a 1-0 lead, but the Oilers scored twice in the sixth. Martinez drew a walk in the second and scored on a Tanner Carlson double.
Mat-Su caps a six-game road trip in Kenai on Sunday.
