ANCHORAGE — Valley performer Adele Morgan will take the stage as part of the Rhythm Heals Concert at the Anchorage Museum at 7 p.m., Feb. 8. Tickets are $20.
The performance is part of the second annual “Let Every Woman Know — Alaska Gynecologic Cancer Awareness and Arts of Healing Weekend” Feb. 7-9 in Anchorage.
Events include a one-woman show titled “I Got Sick Then I Got Better,” written and performed by nationally recognized writer, actress and ovarian cancer survivor Jenny Allen at 5 p.m., Feb. 9 at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students.
Planned as part of the First Friday art showcase, the event also will showcase work by artists’ whose lives have been touched by cancer at the Blue Hollomon Gallery Feb. 7.
