I believe it is vital that elected officials do their best to ensure the needs of their constituents are well represented in Washington. That is why I’m hoping Senator Murkowski will oppose the Democrat-led Protecting the Right to Organize Act (“PRO” Act).
This bill would be devastating for Alaska business owners, workers, and our economy. It’s really nothing more than a handout to unions from their cronies in Congress. It would threaten workers’ rights—including the right to privacy—while making changes to federal labor law that infringe on local businesses’ ability to operate, hire workers, and grow.
Local businesses and workers are just getting back to normal, or at least close to it. The PRO Act would turn everything upside down and jeopardize the strength of local businesses and our entire economy. Senator Murkowski should not support this legislation.
