Local radio station Q99.7 (KMBQ) is gearing up for the 12th annual My House Radiothon fundraising event Friday, November 15.
Listeners can tune in or stream online Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Q99.7, or by streaming online and will have the opportunity to show their support for local grassroots efforts supporting local youth, fighting for human trafficking survivors, and other philanthropic efforts in the community.
Various guests from across the state are planning to stop by and talk about important topics related to the non-profit’s mission throughout the day, as well as the impact My House has had on the community. Last year’s radiothon guests included Governor Mike Dunleavy, Representative Cathy Tilton, and Representative Shelley Hughes.
It’s also an opportunity for My House staff members and volunteers to discuss the organization's programs, and a chance for clients to share their stories reclaiming their lives through the various services available throughout the year.
In the past, the radiothons have helped raise upwards of $30,000, helping My House continue to offer vital services to the youth of the Mat-Su Borough.
“The proceeds are instrumental in helping us get a variety of essential new programs off the ground,” says My House Podcast Producer and Communication Director Isaac Smoldon.
MyHouse offers various wrap-around services supporting local homeless and at-risk youth such as case management, job training, housing, and other resources. Donate and make a difference in the lives of homeless and at-risk youth by calling (907)373-4357 or by visiting www.myhousematsu.org.
