WASILLA — Local youth advocates from Mat-Su Peer Helpers and Mat-Su Teens Against Tobacco Use are joining thousands of teens across the country who are taking part in the March 21 Kick Butts Day. It’s a nationwide initiative that makes kids leaders in the effort to stop youth tobacco use.
Night Courts at the AT&T Sports Center, 1507 N. Double B. St., in Palmer also will host a free Kick Butts night from 9 p.m. to midnight, March 23. This event will feature a tobacco prevention theme, open gym for basketball and volleyball, and a free teen Quit Tobacco kit giveaway.
As part of Kick Butts Day, teens at the Mat-Su Boys and Girls Club recently assembled Quit Tobacco kits for local teens trying to quit tobacco.
