WASILLA— There’s a wide array of Halloween themed events going on across the Mat-Su Valley. Below is a list of events that continue through Nov. 2.
Swanson Elementary’s Halloween Carnival
Swanson Elementary School is hosting their annual Halloween Carnival Oct. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. inside the school.
This event is open to the public and Palmer Fire and Rescue freighters will be onsite. There will be games throughout the building, decorated spooky halls, candy, a crafts table, and food available for purchase.
Pumpkin Patch at the Menard Sports Center
There will be a Pumpkin Patch event at the Menard Sports Center Oct. 31 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Admission for children 12 and under is $4 per child, and children under two are free. This safe, family friendly event will have games a “Glow Show,” prizes and more. Attendees can register their families ahead of time at kcalaska.com.
Haunted Barn at the Williams Reindeer Farm
The Williams Reindeer Farm is hosting a Haunted Barn event at the farm Oct. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The event is recommended for children ages 12 and up. There will be popcorn and hot chocolate for sale, and attendees can warm up around a roaring fire. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Admission is $7 per person.
Halloween Open House at multiple Valley fire stations
Numerous fire stations across the Valley are holding open houses for Halloween Oct. 31 from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
There will be station tours and plenty of candy consumption. Families are encouraged to bring their kids to trick or trick and meet with local firefighters. For more information, call 907-861-8045.

7th Annual Kevin Crozier Team Trunk or Treat — Wasilla
The 7th annual Kevin Crozier Team Trunk or Treat Halloween event is set for Oct. 31 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. outside their office, located at 199 E. Nelson Avenue, Wasilla. Participating families can bring their costumed kids to collect candy and goodies from several participating businesses.
Halloween with Great American Taxi and Braided River
Local bands Great American Taxi and Braided River are holding a Halloween event at Klondike Mike’s in Palmer Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. Plus, a special guest Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon will be there.
Trunk or Treat in Big Lake
The Big Lake Elementary PTO is hosting a Trunk or Treat event at the Big Lake Lions Recreation Center Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It will be a safe and fun environment for families to take their kids trick or treating.
Kibe Lucas Team Trunk or Treat 2019
The Kibe Lucas Team is hosting their annual Trunk or Treat event Oct. 31 from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be plenty of festively decorated vehicles to collect candy from. The event will be located at 315 W. Nelson Ave, Wasilla.
True North & Alive Alaska Halloween Launch party
True North is hosting a Halloween Launch party Oct. 30 from 6 to 9 p.m. to celebrate their new location. It will be a chance to meet their team and enjoy live music, a costumed dance and silent auction.
Halloween Weekend Party
The Ken Peltier band is throwing a “Monster Mash” of a costume party at Spurs/4Corners from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2. There will prizes for costumes, free giveaways, and plenty of Jell-O shots, and “spooky cocktails” available for purchase.
Camp Spook-a-Lot!
This all day event takes place during the Mat-Su Parent Teacher Conferences Oct. 31 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be festive fall themed art projects, carnival games, and Halloween treats for the whole family.
Halloween Hollow
The Mat-Su Special Santa program is hosting their annual Halloween Hallow fundraising event. This indoor trick or treating event will have plenty of games and fun for the whole family. Attendees are encouraged to donate new and unwrapped toys.
The event runs from 3 to 8 p.m. inside Raven Hall at the Alaska State Fairgrounds. Admission is $6 per person, or 1 packaged toy.
Halloween Spooktacular at the Menard Sports Center
There will be a free public skate with treats, drinks and prizes Nov. 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Costumes are encouraged. Call 907-357-9100 for more information.
