PALMER — Country singer-songwriter Oliver Anthony was recently confirmed to perform during the 2024 Alaska State Fair.
According to a recent press, Anthony has been called a "musical poet of the people," and became an overnight national sensation with the release of “Rich Men North of Richmond,” which has been referred to as the country's “blue-collar anthem.”
"Rich Men North of Richmond" has been streamed more than 77 million times on YouTube and more than 115 million across other online platforms.
Five of Anthony's songs have made it on the iTunes’ Top 10 list, with “I’ve Got to Get Sober” reaching the number three placement and “Ain’t Got a Dollar” reaching number two. “Ain’t Got a Dollar” also reached the top placement on Spotify’s Viral 50 list.
Tickets for Anthony's Fair performance at the Borealis Theatre go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 17 through the Fair website.
Concert-goers can purchase concert-only tickets or tickets that include Fair admission.
The tickets with included admission come at a discounted price and are only good for the day of the concert. These must be purchased by August 15.
