WASILLA — The Palmer Alehouse is hosting local musician John Cook in the upstairs lounge area Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 6 p.m
Cook is one of numerous musicians slated to perform through Palmer Ale House Unplugged, an annual indoor concert series that runs throughout the winter.
"We're looking forward to it," Palmer Alehouse owner Cory Hughes said.
The Palmer Alehouse started hosting larger indoor concerts at the Palmer Train Depot last year. They're continuing that trend this winter with events such as a Blackwater Railroad Company concert in March.
"They always bring a good crowd," Hughes said.
The Palmer Alehouse Unplugged series typically runs through May, depending on the weather.
Hughes said they're receiving a lot of positive feedback from guests and musicians alike. He said that music is one of the core elements of their overall mission and they plan to keep the beat going throughout the year.
"People enjoy it, and we're pretty happy with it overall," Hughes said.
The Palmer Alehouse summer concert series begins right after the winter series comes to an end. Visit the official Facebook page for updates on upcoming events.
