Palmer artists' 'Open Studio Tour' is Saturday

The second annual artists’ Open Studios Tour is from 1 to 5 p.m., Jan. 10 at seven locations around the Palmer area.

People are invited to visit the studios, meet the artists and see current projects as well as pieces available for purchase. The tour is also a good way to find out about available upcoming classes and events.

Tour maps are available at the Palmer Museum of History and Art, 723 South Valley Way in Palmer, or by calling 746-7668.

• Rose Hendrickson Fine Arts, 148 South Bonanza Street; Rose Hendrickson, artist/owner, fine art painting.

• Forget-Me-Not Fibers, 832 South Colony Way; hand-dyed and handspun fiber.

• Madd Matter’s Gallery, 1088 Colony Way; Kimberly Surles Strickland, artist/owner of Mozella Mosaics.

• SL Cook Pottery and Fiber Werks, 623 North Angus Loop; Sandra Cook, ceramic artist/owner.

• Alaska Glass Art Works, 15887 East Outer Springer; Nickie Jordan, artist/owner, glass art.

• Arctic Fire Bronze Sculpture Works, 15615 East Outer Springer; Pat Garley, artist/owner, cast and fabricated metal art. Hosting Colleen Wake, painting and metal art.
