New Store Opening on March 1—Cobb Street Market opens its doors on Thursday March 1. This is a fine little shop, located on Cobb Street, across from old Freddie's. The store features approximately 50 different vendors offering their homemade items for sale to the public.
Jenski’s Automotive—They’re back. Just like the phoenix, this great Palmer auto shop has returned from the ashes and the fire. And it looks bigger and better than before. 4-6 on Tuesday is the celebration.
Snow in Palmer—It’s coming down and building up. And it is fun. However, sometimes pedestrians are forced to walk in the roadways, because of snow. Slow down and please give them plenty of room. When you are sweeping off your parked vehicle, it is nice to give your neighbor’s windshield a nice sweep as well. It’s called Random Sweeps of Kindness. Be aware of the Palmer Fattie Bikes that are out and about along with a few cross country skiers, we’ve seen happily sliding through town. The Winter Olympics are over but in Palmer, we can still pretend with our lovely snowfall.
Palmer Renaissance—This event was Sunday, February 25th. Painters and knitters and sketchers and readers gathered together at the Downtown Deli. It is the last Sunday of the month and everyone is welcome. Emily Gelino Bequette was the patient and perfect life model and 7 artists tried their best to paint her. Others came to enjoy the ambiance and conversation and of course good food—including the scrumptious breakfast bowl of bacon and eggs and onions and perfect buttered toast pieces.
