PALMER — Early Saturday morning, Palmer Police responded to a report of an accidental shooting at 855 W. Fern Avenue in Palmer. Upon arriving, Emergency Medical Services provided emergency medical care to Crissilin C. O. Cruz, age 23, of Palmer, but those efforts were unsuccessful, and Cruz died at the scene, according to a PPD press release.
Palmer Police arrested 22-year-old Palmer resident Brian T. Burton in connection with the shooting. He has been charged with single count of Murder in the 2nd Degree and two counts of Misconduct Involving Weapons. He was booked into Mat Su Pre Trial where he was held without bail. Police say the investigation is continuing.
