PALMER — A variety of plants and flowers will be available at this week’s Mat-Su Farm Market from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday at the Palmer Depot. The market will take the week off April 14 and continue the following week through May 19.
Vendors at this week’s market include:
• The Alaskan Sourdough Bread Co. — Sourdough breads, including angry rooster, roasted garlic, cranberry walnut, olive and regular sourdough. Specialty breads, such as challah, spring stollen, farmhouse hearth loaf, balsamic onion focaccia and Alaskan sea salt focaccia.
• Alaska Sprouts — Sprouts and hydroponic lettuces.
• Alaska Yard and Goat Co. — Full line of Alaska goat milk soaps: oatmeal, milk and honey, Hawaiian dream, mountain pine, lavender, tropical vacation, buck naked, and Arctic ice.
• Bistro Red Beet — Delicious gluten-free baked goods including breads, cookies, brownies, muffins and more. Featured this week: strawberry fry bread and more of our amazing cauliflower, as well as pear kimchi.
• Brooke Family Farm — Quail, chicken and duck eggs, and will take orders for 2014 free-range chicken, ducks, geese, turkeys and hogs. Hogs available now.
• Bushes Bunches — Blue, Yukon, peanut and red potatoes, pumpkins, turnips, beets and carrots. Blueberry crumble. Forgot Valentine’s Day? Stop by to pick up a piece of unique handmade jewelry.
• Choose Food Wisely LLC — Offering a New flavor of coconut kifer that is delicious and can double as a no-work dessert offering for you.
• Coba’s Plant Care — Fresh microgreens. Come get your basic or spicy salad mix, broccoli, radish or cabbage microgreens. Microgreens are nutritious and tasty and always harvested fresh, even now in the middle of winter. New this week: basil starts, flower starts, including lobelia and geraniums.
• Country Health Foods — Farm-fresh vegetables, beef, pork, chicken, Alaska seafood, whole-grain barley, barley flour, honey, baked goods, Alaska sea salt, salsa and fresh California oranges. New this week: yak meat, everything from burger to steak.
