‘Poetry Out Loud’ to be streamed live

Colony High School student Tong Thao from Palmer is first at the mic in the student competition at the Poetry Out Loud National Semifinal, Region 3, in Washington, D.C., at 1 p.m., April 29.

During the Poetry Out Loud semifinals, the 53 high school students from Eastern, Central and Western/Pacific regions will compete in three semifinals from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., April 29. The top three students from each region will advance to the National Finals — from 3 to 5 p.m., April 30 — and compete for the 2013 Poetry Out Loud National Championship.
