PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT

THEFT

Nov. 18: A 44-year-old Palmer man reported “several tires” stolen from his vehicle.

Nov. 19: A 53-year-old Wasilla woman reported a theft that happened in Palmer.

ACCIDENT

Nov. 18, Glenn Hwy. and Evergreen Ave.: John Robert Lee, 58, Palmer, and Patric John Strozyk, 54, Chugiak, were in a wreck. Minor injuries were reported.

Nov. 20, Evergree Ave. at Glenn Hwy.: Barrie D. Shepherd, 68, Chitna, and Amy R. Pettit, 33, Palmer, were in a wreck. Minor injuries were reported.

Nov. 21: Shannon Maureen Schmelzer, 47, Wasilla, hit a support structure with her vehicle at an apartment complex.

ASSAULT

Nov. 21: Jeremiah Emilo Proveauex, 27, Big Lake, was arrested for assault, leaving the scene of an accident and DWLR. Bail: $5,000.

RECKLESS DRIVING

Nov. 23: Michael T. Cooney, 19, Palmer, was summonsed for reckless driving.

DAMAGED PROPERTY

Nov. 17, Wasilla-Fishhook Rd.: The owners of a business reported someone smashed two exterior glass windows with rocks.

Nov. 19, 8:15 p.m., Play It Again Sports: Police received a report of a broken store window.

ACCIDENTS

Nov. 17, 7:25 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Main St.: Leona Payne and Partida Young were in a wreck. Payne was cited for not yielding when turning left.

Nov. 18, 5:05 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.: Charisse Echola and Gunner Williams were in a wreck.

Nov. 20, 8:45 a.m., Parks Hwy. and Sun Mountain Ave.: Catherine Morris and Jaime Vinette were in a wreck. Morris was cited for not exercising due care.

Nov. 21, 6 p.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd. and Parks Hwy.: Morgan Belgrade and Christopher Mcintire were in a wreck.

TRESPASSING

Nov. 20, 6:20 p.m., Wal-Mart: Jessica Skaggs was arrested for alleged trespassing.

FRAUD

Nov. 21, 2:08 p.m.: Police received a report of a check written on a closed account and used to buy things at Spenard Builder’s Supply.

COUNTERFEITING

Nov. 21, 11:25 p.m., McDonald’s: Police received a report that counterfeit money was passed at the restaurant.
