Tebughna Foundation, the nonprofit arm to Tyonek Native Corp., is hosting its second annual International Ida’ina Gathering powwow. The event begins at noon, March 30 to April 1 at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage. The Grand Entry is at 7 p.m., March 30.
The Ida’ina benefit fundraiser show “Ida’ina Fiddle Rock and Roll” — featuring Mary Walker and the Takonis, Bunny Swan and Northern Comfort, Steven Willis and the Wasilla IdidaBand, and Marc Brown and the Blues Crew — is from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., March 31.
Tickets are on sale now and funds benefit the annual Ida’ina Gathering and Higher Education.
The event includes authentic Native American dance and music, plus a Native Style Runway fashion show. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
