WASILLA— NSA Wrestling co-founder and showrunner, Sean Coleman recently participated in a question and answer interview to discuss their first show of 2022, Ruthless Progression.
“We’ve got a championship match as one of the main events. The title match is going to be between Cannonball Burt Ringo versus Kris Marx. He’s from Washington.”
“We kind of had to change our approach on things. We’re actually going to have a lot of outsiders come in and work with us.”
“I decided it would be a lot more beneficial… The way I’m looking at it now is that I’d rather have quality shows than quantity. So, we’re probably going to have less matches at the shows, but they’re going to be more quality matches. We are going to be using some pretty big names in the next three or four months.”
“There’s probably 12 of us.”
“Good. We took the holidays off. It was really hard for a lot of us that work.”
“Oh yeah, very. We need to get back out there and get the New Year started.”
“Probably every other month, we’ll be doing a show. We’ll be doing the State Fair again.”
“Oh yeah. That was our goal from last year, to show them what we’re capable of doing. They all loved it. That will help get a lot of eyes on the product, which is a big deal. Last year, it was on a Monday night, but this year, they’re going to give us a Friday night. So, that will be pretty cool.”
“I want to keep doing the Fair thing. That’s a big one. Obviously, keep growing the crowd. I think my biggest goal has always been expanding the local scene up here. You know, making our statement and making a long-lasting effect where all of this will still be here when I’m done.”
NSA’s upcoming match, Ruthless Progression is scheduled for Feb. 4, starting at 6 p.m. at their usual venue at the Palmer Train Depot. Admission is $10, and children under 10 are admitted for free. For more information, visit facebook.com/nsawrestling.
