Sahlstrom-Smit wedding

The families of Katriel Sahlstrom and Hunter Smit have announced that Katriel and Hunter were married June 12 at the Isabella Ballroom at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane, Washington. The wedding was officiated by Rev. Forrest Buckner.

Katriel is the daughter of Christopher and Natalia Sahlstrom of Palmer. She graduated with a degree in biology from Whitworth University and is currently a doctoral student at Whitworth.

Hunter is the grandson of Randy Smit and Shelley Versteeg-Smit of Lynden, Washington.

Hunter received a degree in business administration from Whitworth University in 2019, his Master’s degree in business administration from Whitworth in 2020, and is currently a marketing strategist at cybersecurity company F5 inc.

The maid of honor was Emma Much of Spokane, Washington. The bridesmaids were Katie Lacayo-Hendricks of Seattle, Washington and Erin McLeod of Anchorage.

The best man was John Macias of Spokane. The groomsmen were Nicholas Thweatt of Lincoln, Nebraska and Nathan Mumford of Bellevue, Washington.

The couple chose Paris, France as their destination wedding trip.
