MAT-SU — After spending much of its 32-year history in Eagle River, the Alaskan Scottish Highland Games have outgrown their home at Eagle River Lions Club Park.
Tim Kincaid, athletic director of the Alaskan Scottish Highland Games, said the games will move down the Glenn Highway to the Alaska State Fairgrounds. Kincaid said the shift is necessary to accommodate the event and parking for the more than 10,000 people who attend.
The event is set for June 28 at the Palmer fairgrounds.
