MAT-SU — Transition is in the air, whether we are talking about our weather or about the new, exciting transitions occurring within the Alaska state office of the American Cancer Society.
Due to all the transitions and changes, the local Mat-Su Relay For Life committee is in imperative need of past Relay For Life participants and new individuals, families, businesses or civic groups to form teams and sign up online to be part of this year’s event, set for 7 p.m., June 13 to noon, June 14. Sign up online at matsurelay.org.
The theme for this year’s annual Relay For Life fundraiser is “Finish The Fight.” Cancer is the No. 1 killer of Alaskans.
Team Captain University (training and new material) is from 9:30 to 11 a.m., March 29 at Teeland Middle School. Brunch will be served. Come learn about fundraising, leadership and more about the Relay!
Free childcare will be provided, though donations to a Relay For Life team will be gladly accepted.
