PALMER — The final performers have been confirmed for the 2013 AT&T Concert Series at the Alaska State Fair. Tickets are now on sale for rapper and hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar, and iconic rocker Bret Michaels with “The Voice” runner-up Terry McDermott. All shows are at the Kendall Toyota of Anchorage Borealis Theatre during the 2013 fair, Aug. 22 to Sept. 2.
Aug. 29: Kendrick Lamar. Hailed by Pollstar as “the hottest hip-hop artist in the country,” Compton-raised rapper Lamar first stepped into a recording booth at 16, finding his voice as well as a safe haven from the violence in his neighborhood. Show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $65 for reserved area, plus fair admission. Convenience fees apply. Please note there is no seating at this concert.
Sept. 1: Bret Michaels, with opening act Terry McDermott. Michaels achieved massive worldwide success as the Poison frontman, as a solo artist and as a reality star. Opening for Michaels is singer-songwriter Terry McDermott, the “shaggy Scottish rocker” who made his mark as the runner-up on NBC’s “The Voice” Season 3. Show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $60 for reserved seating, plus fair admission. Convenience fees apply.

Fairgoers may also get tickets at the Kendall Toyota of Anchorage Borealis Box Office on the fairgrounds during the fair; no convenience fees charged for tickets purchased at the box office.
As fair admission is additional to all concert ticket prices, fairgoers are encouraged to take advantage of money-saving offers, such as the 2013 season pass and admission six-pack. Both are available for purchase on the fair website and through ETIX (season passes must be ordered by Wednesday, July 31).
