State Fair parade awards announced

Awards were announced on Monday for the State Fair Parade held Saturday in Palmer. The overall winner was the Sutton Library, with Forever Endeavor taking second and Bagels Alaska placing third.

Other category winners included Palmer High Mini Moose (Family/Children), Pioneers of Alaska (Royalty/Fraternal), Forever Endeavor (Business), Paws & Taws Square Dance Club (Music/Dance), Vern Halter for Mayor (Political), Sutton Library (Theme “Dig into Fun”), MATSAR Search and Rescue (Public Safety), Palmer High Cheer (Community Service Organization), Palmer and Midnight Sun FFA (Agriculture) and the 49th State Street Rodders (Vehicle).
