PALMER — The Mat-Su Food Coalition and Bill Tull have joined forces to host the 10th annual Mayors’ Charity Ball at 8 p.m. Saturday at Raven Hall on the Alaska State Fairgrounds.

With a donation of $50 per ticket, attendees can enjoy this black tie gala featuring pre-event swing dance lessons by Fred Astaire, fabulous hors d’oeuvres by Chef Suzette Lord, entertainment by the Bill Tull Swing Band, and an amazing lineup of silent auction items.

The event also includes dance lessons at 7 p.m. All four local mayors and the Valley’s legislative delegation are invited.

The mission of the Mayors’ Ball is to enable local agencies to better serve those in the community who are in need and who face obstacles that impede their full participation in society.

This year’s event will benefit local food pantries in their efforts to address food insecurity in the Valley. The Mat-Su Health Foundation also will match all proceeds up to $15,000.

Tickets are still available at local chamber of commerce offices.
