The Alaska Center for the Performing Arts is putting on a Tony and Oliver-Winning musical, "Come from Away" at the Atwood Concert Hall from Nov. 29 to Dec. 10.
"Come from Away" recounts the inspiring true story of 7,000 stranded passengers affected by 9/11 and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them.
It's going to be an exciting one. I think people will fall in love with it,” Alaska Center for the Performing Arts Director of Marketing and Communications Jason Herr said. “It's really about that coming together to help each other out which is a really Alaskan value.”
This upcoming show is part of a national tour for the hit Broadway musical and part of the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts' Broadway Alaska program.
Broadway Alaska is a partnership between the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts and The Nederlander Organization.
The rest of the 2023/2024 Broadway Alaska season features "Hamilton," "Six: The Musical and Disney’s "Aladdin."
"Come from Away" tickets go on sale October 3 and can be found at centertix.com and broadwayalaska.com.
