MEADOW LAKES — Two Anchorage men are in jail, charged with armed robbery of a home near Mile 51, Parks Highway.
According to a press release from Alaska State Troopers, the robbery was first reported shortly after 6 a.m., Tuesday near Mile 51 of the highway.
“The suspects were reported to have fled the residence and were most likely driving back to Anchorage,” according to the press release.
Just past the interchange of the Parks and Glenn highways, at Mile 32 of the Glenn, troopers pulled over the car they’d been told the suspects were driving and contacted Heath Olin, 38, and Jason Warth, 32.
Heath was on parole for weapons misconduct, theft and escape. Warth was wanted on three warrants: one for violating probation on a DUI charge, one for escape and one for failure to appear in court on a driving on a revoked license charge.
Warth and Olin were both charged with robbery, burglary and assault. Warth was also charged with providing false information for allegedly handing over a fake ID when troopers asked to see his license.
Bail for each was set at $100,000 and they were booked into the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility. As of Wednesday evening both were still listed as inmates there in online jail records.
