Anchorage, AK: February 7 & 21, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. at the Bear Tooth Theatre, STAR will present two shows of Eve Ensler’s award winning play The Vagina Monologues. The International V-Day website states, “20 years since Eve Ensler's playThe Vagina Monologues shattered taboos, the stakes could not be higher. V-Day is a movement that grew out of the untold stories of women. We believe women. We believe in their right to tell their stories and we believe their stories need to be heard - nothing is more powerful.” The Anchorage production will feature prominent local performers: Amanda Cantrell, Monique L. Child, MD, Angela Colavecchio, Hannah Colver, Ursula Gould, Annis Killen, Kimberly LeClair, MoHagani Magnetek, Vivian Melde, Susan Reilly, Candice Roberson, Vicki Russell, Aly Shaw and Audrey Weltman Kelly. STAR Advocates as well as members from our Education Team will be present to answer any questions from the audience about STAR's services and outreach activities.
