ANCHORAGE — Two Mat-Su Valley artists are included in the “All Alaska Juried Art Exhibition XXXIV” that will hang through Feb. 3, 2013, at Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center. Included are:
• “Tahneeta Lake,” paper and acrylic collage by Susan Althens of Sutton.
• “Back to where I began, Birchwood,” acrylic beads and acrylic paint by Benjamin Schleifman of Wasilla.
This highly competitive exhibition drew 479 submissions by 140 Alaska artists.
Massachusetts-based juror Susan Cross selected 40 artworks by 27 artists for the exhibition. Her selections focus on artwork that reflects a powerful sense of place.
