US. Air Force Veterans Dr. Charles Haggerty and Dr. Kevin Jensen were keynote speakers at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony Nov. 11. The physicians are among 60 medical providers on the hospital’s medical staff of 113 who have served in the US Armed Forces. Haggerty is an orthopedic surgeon and Jensen is an ear, nose and throat surgeon. Both Haggerty and Jensen spoke of the values of teamwork, dedication, sacrifice and selfless service that they witnessed in others during their military careers. Haggerty noted that these are the guiding principles that deeply impacted him and continue to shape him today. The event also featured the color guard from American Legion Post 35 and a special POW/MIA ceremony.
