VPA Recognizes Volunteers for Season 36

Valley Performing Arts celebrated its 36th season at the VPA Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony June 13 at the Fred and Sara Machetanz Theatre, 251 W. Swanson Ave., Wasilla. Rick Mystrom was the guest and master of ceremonies. Each year, VPA members and season ticket holders select the Members’ Choice Awards for their favorite play, actor and production crewmembers. Winners are: Katy Schmidt (Best Actress and Best Newcomer), Roxann Benbow (Best Costumes), Josh Newman (Best Sound Effects), Tracy Moffitt (Artistic Director’s Award), Larry Burton (Best Supporting Actor), Larry Bottjen (Best Director and Best Production), Julie McCartney (Best Lighting Design), Thomas Jacobs (Milking Stool Award), Dave Nufer (Best Actor) and Connie Perkins (15 Year Recognition).
