Due to the rapid growth of population in Wasilla, the United States Postal Service is providing long-term solutions to best serve customers in the Valley.
This ongoing process reflects the Postal Service commitment to service and adaptation to change to the local community.
The specific parcel locker additions include 320 new lockers installed at the Wasilla Main Office at 401 N Main St. to accommodate increased community and parcel growths, 80 new lockers installed at the Wasilla Carrier Annex at 626 N. Bobby Day Cir for parcels that cannot be delivered due to out-of-bound residences, and 324 lockers installed in neighborhoods served by 99654 city routes in response to increasing parcel volume and to improve carrier street efficiency.
This major investment by the Postal Service will relieve congestion, reduce lobby wait time, improve safety, and improve customer access.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
