The event includes live music by The Carhartt Brothers Band and Josh Fryfogle, as well as free ice skating and games for all, food for purchase, a final chance to bid on silent auction baskets and fireworks at 8 p.m., weather permitting.

Events continue Wednesday with a luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 23 in the Wasilla City Hall Council Chambers to honor library visionaries who helped pave the way for the current expansion project

Then from 4 to 6 p.m., Jan. 23 an open house is planned at the Wasilla Public Library and the Dorothy G. Page Museum. Enjoy birthday cake at the library before heading next door to the museum to view an exhibit on the library’s history.
