WASILLA — While vacationing in New York with a friend this week, Wasilla’s Courtney Millslagle was fortunate and scored tickets to the “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” show.

While in the audience, producers picked her at random to audition for a skit called “Sounds Good?” where contestants are given sound canceling headphones and challenged to sing. Millslagle’s mother, Tricia, said her daughter won a pair of headphones and some other prizes for belting out the best rendition.

She was featured on the show April 23 and 24.

“We’re super excited for our little Alaskan girl and hitting it big in NYC,” her mother said about the appearance.

Millslagle, a 2010 Palmer High School graduate, is presently the manager of Radio Shack in Wasilla and is attending Mat-Su College.
