Preparations are underway for the Greater Palmer Chamber of Commerce’s first “Water Towers on Parade” exhibition Sept. 9 to Oct. 12.
Artists will paint, draw, sculpt or photograph the famous Palmer Water Tower.
Those works of local art will be displayed around the city of Palmer through Oct. 12 when they will be sold at auction at 6 p.m., at the Palmer Senior Center, 1132 S. Chugach St.
Water tower and auction sponsorships are available through the Palmer Chamber, 550 S. Alaska St., Suite 101, or contact 745-2880. Sponsors are $250 and businesses receive an original piece of artwork to be prominently displayed at their locations.
Proceeds from the parade auction benefit the Greater Palmer Chamber of Commerce.
